Our Services

Puppies & Young Dogs
It is important with puppies and young dogs not to
be drawn into allowing them to do things which you
would not want or expect from the dog when older
and bigger.
The Do’s and Don’t’s are the choice of
the owner but the impact early behaviour has on
later conduct must be taken early seriously.

Behavioural Problems
We cannot address behavioural issues effectively
unless we know what has caused the problems.
This requires patience, and understanding. Having
identified the cause, we work on re establishing
element(s) of essential interaction which have
suffered or been lost, these being Affection, Trust
and Respect.

Rescue Dogs
Rescue Dogs can be taken on at any age. The
background and origin of the dog is not always
known or understood.
No matter what we are presented with, assume nothing and start the training process at square one. This allows you and the dog to form a new and lasting relationship on your terms.

Working Dogs
Most working dogs are highly driven, motivated
and stimulated. Our training takes this into account
right from the start but also recognises the need for
control and discipline during training and
subsequently working.
Without this we will have an out of control hooligan. Note the word ‘Appropriate’ in our Training Mission.
How we work

We offer competitive rates based on specific training needs.

5 step process to how we work:
Step 1.
You contact us via phone / email so we can start a detailed dialogue about you and your dogs needs.
Step 2.
We carry out a two way appraisal; firstly of your dog and secondly your objectives. The key to success lies in your acceptance and trust in our methods and training principles. We charge a flat rate of £60 for an appraisal.
Step 3.
We put together a detailed and costed training programme for you and your dog.
Step 4.
Once we reach a certain level with the training, we aim to move away from our training ground into 'real life' settings.
Step 5.
We regularly review and tweak the training programme to ensure we are meeting our mutual objectives.
Where we work
Set in a quiet, secluded location at Shirley Holms in the New Forest, our dedicated 18 acre training ground offers all the facilities necessary for all types of training and consultations. The Clubhut serves as an ideal meeting place where the initial Appraisals are held and discussions regarding the type of training and programmes to be undertaken. With large open spaces, woodland and two areas of water we have all we need at one private location. Our dogs are always on hand to assist in various types of training, and we attract the occasional gallery of welcome viewers.
